In BCR rings, the ball acts as the "lock" of the jewelry. The ring locks into small holes in the ball. The ball comes off completely, allowing the jewelry to be put back in place. A locking ring or O-ring pliers can be used to open the jewelry. The 1.6mm thick jewelry is popular, for example, in lip and navel piercings. The ring is available in several different diameters.
